Welcome Prospective Families!

I am so happy you are here to learn about our wonderful school! Our goal is to foster self-esteem and a love of learning for each child. Here at the Roslyn Co-op, learning becomes an active, lifelong endeavor in which children and adults alike engage as careful observers, experimenters and creative thinkers. We are committed to providing a positive school experience for all children in which they can grow socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically.

We teach through play. Developmentally, it is appropriate. In contrast to rote learning practices, teachers encourage children to be active, to venture out and inquire about the world around them. All the skills necessary in life and work in the 21st century are born out of play—it’s through play that we first begin to reason, solve problems, communicate with others, think creatively and collaboratively, promoting curiosity, action, observation and thinking outside the box.

Please know that I am here to answer any questions that you may have. I know that your family will love it here.

Warm regards,

Jeannine Votruba

Director
