Contests

This year's Parents' Night Out will feature not one, but two contests!

Headpiece Contest

In traditional Frida fashion, head pieces are encouraged. Floral, braided or bold — the most vibrant and festive will win an equally fun prize!

Outdoor Party

Pizza Party Time! The class with the highest parent attendance at PNO will win a special outdoor party celebration. (Pizza and ice cream will be provided).

Teacher Experience Raffles

Enter for a chance to win exclusive field trips with our amazing Co-op teachers!

  • ​These raffles are one of the Co-op's most popular traditions.

  • Multiple tickets can be entered for a single experience.

  • Only children attend the experiences. 

  • You can buy tickets for any of the teacher experiences.

Tickets: 1 for $25  |   5 for $100

Raffle tickets may be purchased at the event or through Venmo (@RTCoop). Please specify which teacher experience you are interested in. You do not have to attend PNO in order to enter the raffle.

Outdoor Adventures Sculpture Search at the Nassau County Museum of Art

Tuesday, May 9th, 3:00-4:30

(Rain Date: May 10th)

Open to 5 children

The adventure will begin in the beautiful formal garden. From there, we will follow a map leading to magnificent outdoor sculpture art.


Drop off and pick up will be at the Formal Garden, located just west of the main parking lot.

*Please pack a light snack and water bottle. Have your child wear long pants, high socks, a hat, and a long sleeve shirt.

Train Ride and Picnic at the Clark Botanical Garden

Mrs. Meagher & Mrs. Farrell

Saturday, May 20th

Open to 4 children

We will take the train from Roslyn to the gardens.


We will stroll through this beautiful garden and have a picnic.

 

Please send in lunch for your child. Pick up will be at the garden.

Long Island Children's Museum

3:00-5:00 pm

Open to 4 children

EXPLORE. PLAY. CREATE.

The Long Island Children's Museum offers 14 interactive exhibits plus live theater, art spaces and daily activities to provide hours of discovery for children of all ages.

Movie Night with Pizza and Ice Cream Sundaes

Tuesday, May 16th

4:00-6:00 pm

Open to 5 children

We will meet at school. Please bring a sleeping bag or blanket. We will enjoy pizza and ice cream sundaes during the movie. 

Tappan Beach Walk
and Picnic

with

Mrs. Melichar, Mrs. Brassill, and Mrs. Kivlen

 

Friday, May 19th

4:00-6:00pm

Open to 6 children

Enjoy a picnic at Tappen Beach! We will play on the playground, take a beach walk, eat a pizza picnic, and read a story. Pizza will be provided. Children should bring a water bottle.

Nature Art at the
Co-op Playground

with

Mrs. Snyder, Mrs. Madia, and Mrs. Petrocelli

Thursday, May 11th

3:00-4:30 pm

Open to 6 children

Children will forage for natural materials on the playground and use them to make nature looms and nature sculptures. A watermelon snack will be served.
